Media Organizations in Cambodia

Women's Media Centre of Cambodia. WMC is a non-profit NGO in Cambodia which uses the media to promote social change in Cambodian society. WMC is run entirely by women and has become the leading provider of public service broadcasting in Cambodia.

Journalists Associations in Cambodia

Note that the Cambodian press is highly politicised. There are about 200 licensed publications in Cambodia and approximately 30 newspapers publishing regularly in Phnom Penh. Rasmei Kampuchea and Koh Santepheab are the two largest circulating Khmer language newspapers. The Cambodia Daily and the Phnom Penh Post are the most prominent English language newspapers. Radio and television stations are dependent on political patronage, and most television stations are affiliated with government or opposition political parties. There are about 1,200 journalists in Cambodia and several journalist organisations.
