United States Institute for Peace (USIP), USIP has been working with Iraqis since early 2004 to reduce interethnic and interreligious violence, speed up stabilization and democratization, and reduce the need for a U.S. presence in Iraq. The Institute's Board of Directors is appointed by the President of the United States and confirmed by the Senate, but the USIP states it is an "independent, nonpartisan federal institution." UNDP Programme on Governance in the Arab Region: Iraq, summarizes Iraq's administrative divisions, governance structures including legislature, executive and judiciary, courts international conventions to which Iraq is a signatory, and "associational life" such as politial parties, unions, media organizations. NGO Coordination Committee in Iraq (NCCI). The NCCI is an independent initiative launched by a group of NGOs present in Baghdad in April 2003. NCCI has developed into a wider forum where NGOs can exchange information regarding humanitarian activities and policy decisions in Iraq.

IRINnews.org. Integrated Regional Information Networks (IRIN) is part of the UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA).
